Questions, answered with care
A few things
worth asking.
ONE is a new kind of family community. Clarity matters—especially when the relationships are the product.
The circle
Why only 50 families cohort?+
Because relationships become harder to build when a community becomes anonymous. Fifty is large enough to hold different interests and generations, yet small enough for names, stories and repeated encounters to become familiar.
Is this only for one-child families?+
The community begins with families raising one child because their needs inspired ONE. The philosophy is larger than family size: every child is an individual, and every family benefits from a thoughtful circle.
Is this a children's activity club?+
No. Activities are simply the conditions in which relationships can form. The product is the circle—not a calendar of classes.
Is there a clubhouse?+
No. The city is our clubhouse: a table, forest, studio, kitchen, museum, park, home or a new city. Different places, the same circle.
What does member-led mean?+
ONE is built on reciprocity. Families join ready to contribute—not only to receive—through their presence, knowledge, care, introductions, ideas or experiences. Contribution is personal and never a competition, but the intention to add to the circle is fundamental.
Membership
How does membership begin?+
Membership begins through invitation, referral or application, followed by an individual review and conversation with your family.
What does membership include?+
Access to the community, eligible experiences, learning, residencies, networks, member privileges and collective advantages as they develop. It does not guarantee a particular number of events, travel nights, savings or professional introductions.
Do we have to attend everything?+
No. Real life needs flexibility, and no family is expected at every gathering. To keep the circle active and relationships meaningful, each family is expected to participate in at least six eligible ONE experiences during each membership year. If that rhythm is not met, we will first check in and consider any reasonable exceptional circumstances. Membership continuity may then be reviewed and may lapse at the end of the membership year, subject to written notice and the membership terms then in effect.
What happens after we apply?+
We review your family profile, arrange a conversation if the community may be a fit, and communicate acceptance individually. There is no applicant score, ranking or acceptance probability.
Experiences
How often do families meet?+
ONE creates a varied periodic rhythm across small dinners, learning, play, exploration and family gatherings. The exact calendar changes with the people, places and season.
What are ONE Residencies?+
Quarterly small-group family travel designed to deepen relationships away from everyday routines. They are not tour packages: the itinerary is secondary; the relationships are primary.
Can grandparents participate?+
Yes. ONE is designed around the whole family. Grandparents bring companionship, stories, perspective and a richer intergenerational circle.
Safety & privacy
How does ONE approach child safety?+
Safety is an operating principle, supported by responsible venue selection, emergency information, consent systems, vetted vendors, supervision standards and incident reporting.
What child information do you collect?+
The invitation request asks only for a child's first name and age range. More information is collected only when operationally necessary, with clear purpose and controlled access.
How is photography handled?+
Photography requires clear family consent. A family can choose not to have identifiable images of their child captured or shared.
Who can see the member directory?+
The directory is controlled and intended for accepted members. Member and child information is not designed for public discovery.
